In a small bowl, mix the olive oil and corn kernels. Spread this on your prepared Air Fryer basket lined with kitchen foil.
Let the kernels pop in the Air Fryer for about 5 minutes. Open the basket, remove the popped kernels, and cook again for 3 more minutes to get the perfect popcorn.
Sprinkle the spice powder over your bowl of popcorn and enjoy!
How to Make Tajin Popcorn on the Stove Top
Making this crunchy and savory snack in a pot over the stovetop is super easy.
All you’ll need to do is add the olive oil and corn kernels in a thick, heavy bottomed pan.
Mix to ensure that all the kernels are coated with, and on let them pop on medium heat, with the lid on, leaving just a teeny bit of space for the steam to escape.
Once the popping slows, take the pot off heat and let it rest for 2-3 minutes before you top it with the Tajín.
Notes
I used olive oil for the recipe because I wanted to keep it vegan. You can choose to use butter if you don’t have any dietary restrictions.
If you have any leftovers, you can store them in an airtight container or Ziploc bags at room temperature.
When cooking the popcorn in the Air Fryer, remember to shake the Air Fryer basket a couple times during the cooking process.
