Instructions
Combine all the ingredients in a blender jar and blend for 2 minutes or until smooth and creamy.
Pour into glasses, top with some more mango chunks (optional) and serve.
Notes
If you're using whole cardamom, make sure you remove the outside and discard it, and just use the tiny black seeds on the inside.
Make sure you use fresh yogurt. Yogurt that is a day or two old can make the lassi tangy and sour.
If the mango lassi tastes more a bit too tangy, consider adding a bit of milk and giving it a quick blitz once again.
Make sure you use chilled yogurt to make the lassi- this drink tastes best when served cold- just like the classic
masala buttermilk
.
You can also top the lassi with some sliced almonds and pistachios before you serve.
