Tangy, fruity, and fizzy, this mulberry mojito hits all the right spots and is one of the easiest summer drinks you’ll ever make.
This virgin mojito comes together in under 10 minutes and needs just 5 simple ingredients to make.
Summertime, for me, is all about experimenting and trying different refreshing drinks and treats, and while my minty buttermilk and watermelon lime sorbet have been big hits, I wanted to try making something using berries.
On my last grocery run, I picked up a pack of fresh mulberries, and I really wanted to put them to use.
And that’s when I brainstormed and tried this recipe.

What's So Great About the Recipe?
The fruity, tangy flavor of this refreshing drink is what I love the most.
Plus, the recipe is super easy to put together- it is actually great for all those summer parties and BBQs when you want to put out something that looks fancy and tastes incredible but you don’t want to put in a lot of effort.
Ingredients For the Mulberry Mojito Recipe
You’ll need just 5 simple ingredients to make these refreshing mulberry mojitos.
Mulberries: Fresh mulberries are the key ingredient here. I would recommend choosing organic ones for the best results.
Lime: I used fresh lime for the lime juice, but you could also choose the bottled variety if you can’t find fresh limes.
Mint leaves: Fresh mint leaves brighten up the mojito beautifully.
Seltzer: I used classic seltzer to get the drink nice and fizzy. Use any unflavored soda water or sparkling water.
Sugar: While mulberries do have their natural sweetness, I also used a bit of sugar to add to the flavor.

Substitutions & Variations
- Don’t have fresh lime? Feel free to use bottled lime juice instead.
- Fresh lemon juice is also a great alternative you can try using.
- Don’t have soda or seltzer water? Just use some Sprite instead. Remember to skip adding the sugar if you’re doing this though.
💭Top Tip
If you’re using sugar, I would recommend using powdered sugar, as it dissolves pretty quickly into the seltzer water.
Equipment
How to Store Leftovers
If you end up with more of the mojito mixture than you needed, transfer the muddled mixture to an airtight container and refrigerate it for up to 2 days.
You can then simply top it with ice cubes and seltzer water when you want to, and enjoy!
Tips & Tricks to Nail the Recipe
- You can also try different variations of this fruity mojito by adding another berry along with the mulberries. Cranberries, strawberries, and blackberries are great choices.
- I used sugar to sweeten the mojito, but you can use agave or any other natural sweetener of your choice, or even just skip adding a sweetener altogether.
- Don’t want to use seltzer water? You can just use some regular chilled water, and it should work just as well- you’ll have a simple and delicious mulberry mint drink.
- If you want to make and serve this drink at a little get-together you’re hosting, you can section out the muddled mulberry mixture into individual portions and freeze them. Then, all you need to do is let them thaw, put them in individual glasses, top with ice and seltzer water, and serve!
- Got some more mulberries left, waiting to be put to use? Whip up a quick mulberry BBQ sauce using them!
