These hot honey roasted peanuts are the perfect snack for your house parties and game day get-togethers. They're crunchy, salty, sweet and spicy all at the same time, and come together in just under 30 minutes.
Just like my salt and vinegar almonds, these are a total crowd pleaser and are sure to disappear fast every time you make them.

I'm slightly obsessed with crispy, crunchy snacks, and while packaged ones do taste good, I'm very conscious about the ingredients that go into making them.
So of course, I love trying to make them from scratch whenever I can. My Tajin nuts and spicy roasted cashews have both been such big hits, and inspired by that, this time, I decided to try something using peanuts as the hero ingredient- and here we are!

What's So Great About the Recipe?
- It's perfect to batch-make and store up to a week ahead of time, just like my chili lime pepitas.
- It's a riot of flavors and textures, perfect to munch on as-is or use as a topping for your salads or other recipes.
Recipe Ingredients

Peanuts: I used raw, unsalted and unroasted peanuts here.
Hot honey: Use your favorite hot honey here. I love using my homemade habanero hot honey for that extra spicy kick.
Butter: Salted butter works best here.
Baking soda: This is super important- it helps the roasted peanuts get that super crunchy exterior.
Salt: Just a dash, to season.

Substitutions & Variations
- If you're sensitive to spice, you can use just regular honey and make sweet honey roasted peanuts too- they taste incredible.
- Don't have hot honey? Simply add a dash of cayenne pepper, red pepper flakes or your favorite hot sauce to add that heat. You can also simply use an infused butter like hot honey butter instead.
- If you're vegan, you can swap the honey for some agave or maple syrup and use coconut oil (or my habanero oil) instead of butter.

💭Top Tip
Use a heavy bottomed pot or pan to make the hot honey-butter mixture. You don't want it to burn!

Tips & Tricks to Nail the Recipe
- Make sure you cook the honey mixture on low heat as it can burn super quick.
- Remove the baking sheet from the oven a couple of times to stir the peanuts around a bit. This will help them cook evenly and will keep them from burning. I did this when I made my roasted Tajin nuts and seeds too!
- Use a large baking sheet and avoid overcrowding it.
- If you're using pre-roasted peanuts, you will need to cut down on the oven time. Keep an eye on the peanuts at the 10-12 minute mark and remove them once they look golden brown.
- You can also try using different infused butters like pesto butter, Cajun butter and jalapeno butter to create different versions of honey roasted peanuts.
- Use your leftover peanuts to make a big batch of masala peanuts that you can store for weeks, and munch on whenever you want to!
How to Serve Hot Honey Roasted Peanuts
These hot honey roasted peanuts are best enjoyed as a snack- any time of the day. If I'm making these for a party I'm hosting, I like to pair them with some cocoa dusted almonds, my favorite Air Fryer Tajin chickpeas and some other party favorites.
When I have some leftovers, I crush them up a bit and sprinkle them over my Thai crunchy cucumber salad. These roasted peanuts also make for an excellent homemade gift for your friends and family! Fill them up in small glass jars or clear bags and you're done!

Troubleshooting and FAQs
You can store your leftover hot honey roasted peanuts at room temperature for up to a week. Make sure you use an airtight container to preserve their crunch factor.
