These chili crisp fried eggs are wicked delicious, and a great way to take your breakfast game up a notch.
The salty, spicy, and savory deliciousness of the chilies and the slight crisp pair perfectly with your classic fried eggs, transforming your simple breakfast into an elegant and satisfying one.
I’m an eggs-for-breakfast kind of person, so naturally, I’m always looking for different ways to cook eggs.
Recently, I tried my hands at a nice Egyptian egg salad and some egg kheema, and they were both absolutely delicious.
But I really found myself craving for something that was easier to make, but still had a LOT more flavor.
And that’s when I got to this recipe!

Substitutions & Variations
- Experiment with different kinds of chili oils. I love using my Mexican chili oil sometimes, and it turns out insanely delicious.
- You could also try using other condiments like fried shallots, everything bagel seasoning, or even some homemade scallion ginger oil.
- Another great way to add some extra flavor to the chili crisp fried eggs is to top them with a sprinkle of garlic bread seasoning, peri-peri seasoning, or any other spicy homemade seasoning of your choice.
- Chili crisp is a popular condiment that is slightly spicy, so if you don’t have it, you could use almost any other spicy infused oil or compound butter of your choice. I love using my Cajun butter occasionally.
💭Top Tip
Tip: Flip the egg once the whites are fully cooked, making sure you don’t break the yolk.

Tips & Tricks to Nail the Recipe
- Cook the eggs over medium-high heat. Too hot, and the edges will burn; too low, and the eggs become rubbery.
- Start with a small amount of chili crisp if you're sensitive to spice, and then add more to taste if needed.
- Let the eggs cook undisturbed until they’re ready to be flipped or served.
- Use a non-stick pan or skillet to keep the eggs from sticking and breaking apart.
- Reduce the heat once you add the chili crisp. This will help keep the chili crisp from burning.
- To lend these eggs a delicious Asian flavor, add a bit of toasted sesame oil to the pan too!

FAQs
To load up the eggs, you can add some veggies and herbs of your choice. Bell peppers, spinach, mushrooms, cilantro, and parsley are great choices.
If you don’t like your eggs sunny-side up, simply flip the egg over and cook it on the other side too, until the yolk is done.
